5 Questions About Couch Cleaning in Port Elizabeth

The seat everyone uses, the arm beside the television and the cushion the dog prefers usually tell the story. A couch gets used every day, and the change can be gradual enough that you only notice it when you move a cushion.

Here is what to ask before booking couch and upholstery cleaning in Port Elizabeth/Gqeberha.

1. Can every couch be wet-cleaned?

No. The fabric helps determine what we can do. Before anything gets wet, we check the material and test it in an inconspicuous place.

Some upholstery needs a different approach, and we may decline a wet clean if it is unsuitable. A hidden test is a better starting point than finding a problem on the front of the couch.

Tell us what the furniture is made of if you know, and send a photograph of any care label. Mention leather or vinyl specifically so we can confirm whether the service you need is something we offer.

2. Do you clean the couch inside my home?

We can arrange cleaning in the home. Tell us where the furniture is and what access is like, especially in a flat or a room upstairs.

The floor around it matters too. Mention wooden flooring or another surface you are concerned about so we can plan the working area and protection.

There is no need to start moving a heavy couch outside before speaking to us. Explain the setup when booking and we can discuss where the work should happen.

3. Will the marks on the arms and cushions come out?

We cannot promise complete stain removal. The material, the cause of the mark and previous attempts to clean it all matter.

Tell us about food spills, urine, watermarks or products you have already used. A photo gives us useful context, but it cannot tell us everything about how the fabric will respond.

If a home-cleaning attempt has left a ring or changed the appearance, show us before adding another product. We would rather assess what is there than have you keep working at the same patch without knowing the material.

4. How long before I can sit on it again?

Allow time for drying after a wet clean. How long depends on the fabric, how much moisture it holds and the airflow and weather on the day.

Tell us if it is your only couch or if you need it ready for visitors. We can discuss timing before the appointment rather than leave you trying to fit drying around a deadline afterwards.

Ask for drying advice for your particular piece. Do not assume moving it into direct sun is the right solution for every fabric.

5. What information do you need for a quote?

Send the seat count and a photo showing the whole couch. Mention a daybed, chaise section, recliners or separate chairs so we understand the full set.

For dining chairs, say how many there are and whether only the seats are upholstered or the backs are covered too. Include your suburb and any access difficulties.

Tell us about stains and smells at the same time. That helps us quote for the work you want done and discuss any limitations before the visit.

Send us a photo of the set

WhatsApp True Clean with the furniture, seat count and suburb. Add a close-up of the area you are concerned about and a care-label photo if available. We can take it from there.
