Carpet cleaning in Gqeberha/Port Elizabeth
Most of what we clean is ordinary family carpet. A few years of feet on it, a dog that sleeps in the same spot every afternoon, a passage that’s gone darker than the rest of the room and has been that way so long nobody in the house notices anymore.
That’s the work. Twelve years of it, across Gqeberha/Port Elizabeth, Uitenhage and Despatch. It’s also the work we’re best at, which is worth saying, because the fancy jobs aren’t the ones that teach you anything.
What we do
Hot water extraction
The standard clean, and what nearly every home gets. We vacuum first, then pre-spray the traffic lanes and the marks, then the machine goes over it with hot water and pulls the dirt back out again. It gets down into the pile in a way nothing you can hire from a shop will.
Low moisture
Also called encapsulation. Less water goes down, which suits offices and carpets we’d rather not soak.
We’ll tell you which one yours wants once we’ve seen it. Nine times out of ten it’s the first.
Before and after
One room, photographed when we got there and again when we packed up. Nothing is retouched and we don’t pick only the easy ones.
The doorway end of the room. Drag the handle across.
The spot you’re worried about
There’s usually one. It’s why people phone, even when they book the whole house.
Tell us about it when you book. Where it is, roughly how old it is, and what caused it if you know. We’d much rather come prepared for it than find it halfway through the room and have to go back out to the van.
Pet urine
This is the one worth being honest about before anybody starts.
If a dog or a cat has been going in the same spot for a while, it will have soaked down through the carpet into the underfelt, and sometimes into the screed underneath that. Cleaning the top of the carpet does nothing about any of that. The smell comes back in a week and you’ve paid for nothing.
We treat it properly where we can. Where it’s gone too far, we’ll tell you, because taking your money and leaving you with the same problem isn’t a job either of us wants.
Urine treatment adds R173 a room.
If a carpet has been wet a while
Worth putting on the phone call rather than letting you book.
Mould starts growing underneath a wet carpet inside about 48 hours. If it’s been wet for more than three days or so, and there’s a smell, or you can see something on it, then cleaning isn’t the answer and we’d rather tell you that than drive out and take your money. That carpet usually needs replacing.
If yours has only just got wet, phone us today. That’s a completely different job and we can do something about it, and it’s all on the water damage page.
What we can’t promise
We can’t guarantee a stain will come out.
Some lift completely. Some fade and you’ll know they were there but a visitor won’t. And some aren’t dirt at all, they’re dye damage, where something has stripped the colour out of the fibre, and no amount of cleaning brings colour back into a carpet that hasn’t got any.
We’ll tell you which one we think yours is on the day, standing there with you. No guessing from a photo if we can help it, and no big speech afterwards.
Open the windows
Small thing, but it makes a real difference. Get some air moving through the room after we’ve gone. That’s it.

All prices include VAT. The smallest job we take is R690, because one bedroom or one rug on its own is still a trip out and a machine set up.
Outside Gqeberha there’s a travel charge on top, and those are all on the prices page. Walmer, Summerstrand and Newton Park are inside the Gqeberha price, and the rest of what we cover is on the homepage.
Prices can change. We keep the site up to date as best we can, and the price we quote you before we start is the one you pay.
Offices, shops and hotels
Those prices are for houses and flats. Commercial floors are quoted on square metreage instead, and we work around your trading hours rather than through them.
That side of it is on the commercial carpet cleaning page.
