Spider control in Port Elizabeth
Usually when people phone us about spiders, there are a lot in the yard or a bunch inside the house. Sometimes the sheer number is the problem. Sometimes the person is simply very scared of spiders.
Tell True Clean where you're seeing them in Port Elizabeth. That gives us somewhere useful to start, rather than assuming the whole property has the same problem.
Which areas do you look at?
The indoor work often has both a high and a low part: the cornices up near the ceiling and the skirtings at floor level. Behind a refrigerator or another sheltered area can need attention as well. Where one area is particularly bad, we assess that separately; on some of our jobs that has included an affected ceiling area.
Outside, I look around the base of the building, the doors and windows, and up towards the roof where we can reach. That is why it helps to tell us whether you are mainly seeing them inside, around the building or out in the yard.
Do you treat the whole yard?
Not automatically. We have had extreme yard jobs with thousands upon thousands of spiders on a lawn. In that kind of situation, we have assessed a broader outside treatment as part of the work.
That is a different situation from a few places around the doors or a problem concentrated inside a room. We look at the amount and location of the activity, then explain which areas need treatment. Product requirements and the conditions on the property decide what is appropriate.
How quickly do people notice a difference?
In my experience, we usually see a drop very quickly after treatment. We've not needed a follow-up on our spider jobs so far.
That's our experience, rather than a guarantee that every property will be sorted in one visit. Tell us if you're still seeing a problem so we can reassess it.
When I say we usually see a quick drop, I am describing the spider jobs we have done. People often call because they are worried about themselves or their children, or because the number of spiders is overwhelming. I can explain our treatment experience without promising that nobody will ever see another spider on the property.
What about pets and access to treated areas?
Tell us about your pets and where the activity is before the appointment. We'll explain what needs keeping clear during the work and when treated areas can be used again.
We'll confirm when people and pets can return to the areas being treated. The arrangements depend on the products and the work at your property, so keep those instructions available for anyone else at home on the day.
Questions we get asked
Do you guarantee a single treatment?
No. So far we haven't needed follow-up treatment on our spider jobs, but that isn't a promise for every infestation.
Does a large number outside mean the whole house needs treatment?
We need to look at where the activity is. The work should fit the problem found, rather than automatically cover every area.
What does the work cost?
Spider treatment is quoted for the property. Tell us about the house or yard and the amount of activity so we can assess the work.

Prices can change. We keep the site up to date as best we can, and the price we quote you before we start is the one you pay.
