Rug and loose carpet cleaning in Gqeberha
A loose rug is a different job from fitted carpet, and most of it happens nowhere near your floor. That’s a good thing. The amount of dust that comes out of a thin-looking rug still surprises us, and we’ve been doing this a long time.
What actually happens to it
It goes on the shaker table first. That knocks out the sand and grit that has worked its way right down into the base of the rug over the years.
There is always more than people expect. Anything that has lived near a door, or come back from the beach a few times, will surprise you. Then it gets vacuumed, pre-sprayed with something chosen for that particular fibre, scrubbed, washed through the machine, and hung rather than left flat. Before it comes back to you somebody goes over it one last time.
Get it clean before it gets too bad, and it stays looking like itself for years. That’s the quiet version of looking after a good rug.
Three ways to do it
- We collect and deliver. Easiest, and what most people choose.
- You drop off and collect. Cheapest, and the prices below are for this.
- On site. For rugs that shouldn’t travel, or shouldn’t leave the room they’re in.
The fluffy ones
Worth a word on its own, because the urine prices further down look steep next to the cleaning price and that isn’t a mistake.
A long shaggy pile holds an extraordinary amount of liquid and there’s no shortcut through it. It takes repeated flushing, and it has to happen at our place rather than in your lounge.
If that number is more than the rug is worth to you, we’ll say so. We’ve told people to buy a new one before. No hard sell. Just the truth of the thing.
